Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or Industrial Management.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 4 years in a higher-level supervisory role.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing methods, production planning, employee/labor relations, and standard cost/financial controls.
• Demonstrable skills in assessing, utilizing and developing personnel.
• Ability to communicate, motivate, and lead at all levels.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities; manage multiple priorities.
• PC literacy and ability to use spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Directs manufacture and assembly of products at optimum cost with quality and performance standards.
• Operates and manages to meet scheduled delivery dates with minimal WIP and efficient use of resources.
• Develops and maintains cost, scrap, rework, and extra-work reduction programs to improve EBIT.
• Controls quality, cost of production, inventory, shipping and receiving through subordinates.
• Determines plant policies and directs application to manufacturing operations.
• Coordinates execution of manufacturing schedules based on sales and capacity.
• Ensures availability of raw materials and supplies for optimum efficiency.
• Discusses methods and production standards with subordinates and plant personnel.
• Reviews and approves capital equipment purchases.
• Oversees maintenance of buildings, machinery and plant security.
• Participates in personnel policies and labor relations; union negotiations where applicable.
• Supports communication policy and conveys directives to shop floor.
• Ensures safety and environmental compliance across plant operations.
