Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners seeks a Plant Manager in Storm Lake, Iowa to oversee overall shop floor operations, maximize product quality, and meet shipping schedules. The candidate should have a strong background in engineering/industrial management, extensive manufacturing leadership experience, and excellent analytical and people-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or Industrial Management.
• 10+ years’ manufacturing experience with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing methods, production planning, employee relations, and cost controls.
• Strong communication, motivation and leadership skills.
• Superior analytical and critical thinking abilities; able to manage multiple priorities.
• PC literacy with ability to use spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Directs manufacture and assembly at optimum cost while meeting quality and performance standards.
• Manages scheduling to meet delivery dates with minimal WIP.
• Develops cost/scrap/rework reduction programs to improve EBIT.
• Controls production cost, inventory, shipping/receiving via subordinates.
• Oversees machinery/building purchases and maintenance.
• Ensures safety and environmental compliance for all plant operations.
• Leads labor relations and policies, including union considerations where applicable.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or Industrial Management.
