Our client in the industrial manufacturing sector is looking for a Plant Manager to lead operations at their facility in Champaign County, IL. In this role, you’ll oversee all functions on the plant floor, including fabrication, finishing, assembly, quality, maintenance, and programming. You’ll be expected to provide strategic input to corporate leadership, guide your team through change, and ensure seamless execution as the facility evolves. You will drive safety, productivity, and quality while managing performance, budget planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who thrives on the production floor, engages closely with their team, and drives measurable improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency. Plant Manager – Industrial Manufacturing Responsibilities

• Oversee operations across production, maintenance, quality, and engineering

• Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional team working on multiple shifts

• Ensure smooth execution of fabrication, coating, and assembly processes

• Collaborate on plant budgeting and financial reporting with site leadership

• Implement and track performance metrics to support business objectives

• Maintain compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements

• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives where applicable

• Partner with supply chain to optimize production flow and resource use

• Foster a safety-first culture and uphold high housekeeping standards

• Liaise with corporate teams on strategic initiatives and reporting

Plant Manager – Industrial Manufacturing Qualifications

• 5+ years of plant or manufacturing leadership experience required

• Experience in industrial manufacturing environments required

• Experience with production processes such as metalwork or assembly required

• Experience managing plant P&L and budgeting processes required

• Familiarity with ISO9000 or similar quality standards required
