Join a top manufacturer in the automotive industry. They are seeking a high-performing Maintenance Supervisor to join their dynamic team in Chicago.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of technicians, driving preventative maintenance efforts, and ensuring optimal equipment performance to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in industrial maintenance, exceptional troubleshooting capabilities, and proven leadership experience in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Shift

Friday & Saturday: 5:30am - 5:30pm

Sunday & Monday: 5:30pm - 5:30am

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians to ensure efficient equipment performance and minimal downtime.
• Develop and manage preventative and predictive maintenance schedules for machinery, tools, and plant infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across production lines and facilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to support equipment upgrades and root cause analysis.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards through regular audits and team training.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of maintenance experience in an automotive or heavy industrial manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong technical knowledge of MTTR, PLCs, robotics, conveyors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and industrial electrical systems.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach maintenance teams in a union or non-union setting.
• Working knowledge of CMMS systems, and Continuous Improvement methodologies such as TPM or Lean.
• 2 year Associates or technical degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
