Plant Supervisor – Hillside, IL

Full-time | On-site

We are seeking a hands-on Plant Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations at our Hillside, IL facility. This role is responsible for supervising production staff, ensuring schedules are met, maintaining quality standards, and driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement on the plant floor. The Plant Supervisor will be a key liaison between operations, quality, engineering, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of production teams across shifts
• Monitor workflow, staffing, and schedules to meet production targets and quality metrics
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Facilitate employee training, cross-training, and development initiatives
• Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate goals and performance updates
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with engineering or maintenance as needed
• Support quality and engineering teams in resolving non-conformances
• Maintain accurate production records, timekeeping, and shift reports
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality control
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse workforce
• Proficient in ERP systems (AS400 experience a plus), Microsoft Office, and production tracking tools
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment
• Familiarity with machining, metal fabrication, MRO items, and supplier performance tracking
