SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking a hands-on Plant Manager / CDL Mixer Operator to oversee daily operations of our ready mix plant and operate a concrete mixer truck as needed. This role blends leadership with field service, requiring you to manage batching, production schedules, and customer deliveries while guiding a team.

You will ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, maintain equipment, and coordinate with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with current DOT Medical Card.
• Experience in ready mix concrete plant management or supervision.
• Experience operating a concrete mixer truck.
• Knowledge of batching systems and concrete production.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily batching and production of ready mix concrete.
• Schedule production and deliveries to meet customer needs.
• Supervise plant employees and coordinate daily assignments.
• Monitor inventory of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and other materials.
• Ensure quality control standards are maintained.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe plant environment.
• Ensure OSHA, DOT, environmental and safety compliance.
• Complete production reports and maintain records.
• Operate a ready mix concrete mixer truck when needed.
• Safely transport and deliver concrete to job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain delivery documentation and DOT compliance.
• Communicate with dispatch, customers, and job sites.
• Assist with plant and yard duties during downtime.
