Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a hands-on Plant Manager / CDL Mixer Operator to oversee daily operations of our ready mix plant and operate a concrete mixer truck as needed. This role combines leadership with field service and customer interaction.

You will drive safe, efficient production, quality control, and on-time deliveries while mentoring staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring OSHA/DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with current DOT Medical Card required.
• Previous ready mix concrete plant management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience operating a concrete mixer truck.
• Knowledge of batching systems and concrete production.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 100 pounds, and perform physical job duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality control standards are maintained.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company safety policies.
• Complete production reports and maintain accurate operational records.
• Operate a ready mix concrete mixer truck when needed.
• Safely transport and deliver concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain delivery documentation and DOT compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and job site personnel.
• Assist with plant and yard duties during downtime.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities
