Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a hands-on Plant Manager / CDL Mixer Operator to oversee daily plant operations and operate a concrete mixer truck as needed. This role leads a small team, ensures safety, quality, and on-time deliveries, and maintains strong customer relations on jobsites.

The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL, supervisory experience, and a working knowledge of batching systems. Expect outdoor work and physical duties in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with DOT Medical Card.
• Plant management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience operating a concrete mixer truck.
• Knowledge of batching systems and concrete production.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Mechanical aptitude; able to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily batching and production of ready mix concrete.
• Schedule production and deliveries to meet customer needs.
• Supervise plant employees and coordinate daily work.
• Monitor inventory of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and other materials.
• Ensure quality control standards are maintained.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe plant environment.
• Ensure OSHA, DOT, environmental and safety policy compliance.
• Complete production reports and maintain records.
• Operate a concrete mixer truck when needed; perform pre/post-trip inspections.
