Job summary

SRM Concrete, a leading ready mix provider in the United States, seeks a hands-on Plant Manager / CDL Mixer Operator to oversee daily plant operations and operate a concrete mixer truck when required. This is a working management role emphasizing leadership, safety, and customer service in the field.

The candidate will ensure safe, efficient production and delivery of quality concrete while upholding OSHA, DOT, and company standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with current DOT Medical Card.
• Experience managing a ready mix concrete plant or supervising staff.
• Experience operating a concrete mixer truck.
• Ability to meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily batching and production of ready mix concrete.
• Schedule production and deliveries to meet customer needs.
• Supervise plant employees and coordinate daily work assignments.
• Monitor inventory of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and other materials.
• Ensure quality control standards are maintained.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe plant environment.
• Ensure OSHA, DOT, environmental and company safety policies are followed.
• Complete production reports and maintain accurate operational records.
• Operate a ready mix concrete mixer truck when needed.
• Safely transport and deliver concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain delivery documentation and DOT compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and job site personnel.
• Assist with plant and yard duties during downtime.
