Job summary

SRM Concrete seeks a hands-on Plant Manager / CDL Mixer Operator to oversee daily ready mix plant operations and operate a concrete mixer truck as needed. This role combines management responsibilities with field delivery duties to ensure safe, efficient production and high customer service levels.

Ideal candidates will have a CDL Class A or B, prior supervision in a concrete plant, and familiarity with batching systems and regulatory safety requirements.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with current DOT Medical Card required.
• Experience in ready mix concrete plant supervision or management preferred.
• Experience operating a concrete mixer truck.
• Knowledge of batching systems and concrete production.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Mechanical aptitude to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily batching and production of ready mix concrete.
• Schedule production and deliveries to meet customer needs.
• Supervise plant employees and coordinate daily work assignments.
• Monitor inventory of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and other materials.
• Ensure quality control standards are maintained.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe plant environment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company safety policies.
• Complete production reports and maintain accurate operational records.
• Operate a ready mix concrete mixer truck when needed.
• Safely transport and deliver concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain delivery documentation and DOT compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and job site personnel.
• Assist with plant and yard duties during downtime.
