Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Plant Superintendent to oversee plant operations, safety, and environmental compliance at a Fox River Stone site in Illinois. You will direct daily activities across mining, processing, stockpiling, loading and shipping, ensuring uninterrupted aggregate supply and adherence to budgeted expenses.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and problem-solving skills, with at least 5 years in operations/production and a high school diploma (Associate's degree preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of equivalent experience.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Production / Industrial Management and/or Business Management as field of study preferred.
• 5 years of operational/production experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the operation of one or more plants, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
• Direct day‑to‑day activities to meet objectives in mining, processing, stockpiling, loading and shipping of aggregate.
• Plan, staff and supervise the work unit to ensure uninterrupted supply of aggregate product.
• Communicate goals to employees and maximize participation for team success.
• Administer supervision of production, maintenance and shipping personnel, including training and performance evaluation.
• Participate in meetings and ensure accurate time and attendance data.
• Coordinate production schedules and labor estimates to meet goals.
• Troubleshoot production problems with support functions and implement improvements.
• Provide feedback on equipment operation and production effectiveness and advise on capital expenditures.
