Job summary

CoorsTek in Worcester, MA is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the site’s manufacturing operations, safety culture, quality programs and cost discipline. The role oversees production, quality control, safety, workforce planning and maintenance to meet financial and quality goals.

You will collaborate with HR on talent strategy, drive continuous improvement, manage operating budgets and coordinate with global teams to maximize capacity and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive manufacturing/leadership experience.
• Experience applying Lean, TOC, Six Sigma or other TQM methods.
• Understanding of manufacturing/ceramics or semiconductor context preferred.

You will direct and coordinate activities of site including production, quality control, safety, workforce planning and supervision, shipping/receiving, materials and maintenance, to obtain optimum financial and quality goals. You will report to the Sr DIrector of Manufacturing.Role & Responsibilities:• Lead the manufacturing process within the site.• Drive the efficiency and cost-effective production of CoorsTek products.• Responsible for the coordination of various manufacturing functions and processes.• Execute and develop policies, programs, and objectives affecting the site production schedule, product quality, and cost of manufactured products.• Institute quality programs to meet or exceed quality standards.• Collaborate with other functions, plants and regions on a global scale to maximize the capacity, growth and expansion of the business.• Drive reductions in cost of goods sold and capital efficiency.• Maintains a deep understanding of productivity and plant efficiency.• Operate in alignment with CoorsTek Corporate strategy by providing superior Customer Value, new solutions and effectively and efficiently meeting their needs.• Maintain a shared accountability for profit margin.• Support annual strategic planning and monthly operational forecasting processes.• Review and analyzes reports, records, and directives, and confers with managers/supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered.• Responsible for collaborating with Human Resources on the execution of the overall Global Talent strategy within the plant.• Accountable along with EH&S for establishing strong processes and programs supporting a culture of safety and the safe operations of the plant.• Champion continuous improvement efforts. Supports and helps to implement new ideas.Job Requirements:Education & Experience:• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, plus 5 -10 years of related work experience• 5 - 10 years of progressive manufacturing/leadership experience.• Experience with the application of Lean, TOC, Six Sigma or other TQM process improvement methodologies in a manufacturing environment.• Understanding of ceramic manufacturing processes, including kiln operations, materials processing, and quality systems highly preferred.• Previous experience within the Semiconductor industry is a nice to have.Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:• Knowledge and experience with quality and continuous improvement techniques, strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication, interpersonal effectiveness, and leadership.• Proven success managing plant operating budgets and capital expenditures.• Strong ability to analyze financial and operational performance to ensure achievement of business objectives.• Proven ability to build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.• Demonstrates strong leadership, management and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to engage team to achieve goals.• Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.Target Hiring Range: USD 0.00 - USD 0.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
