Job Summary

Plan, organize, direct, and provide leadership necessary for achieving plant and corporate goals in Safety, Warehouse, Transportation, Quality, Employee Relations, Performance, and Cost.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the successful attainment of production objectives, implementation of policies, and most effective utilization of available resources and facilities. Contributes to development of annual budget, performance goals, and process and operational improvements.
  • Manage budget, including administration and cost control.
  • Enforce GMPs, manufacturing instructions, quality standards, and legal requirements concerning dairy processing, environmental, safety, and working conditions. Responsible for training and development of direct reports.
  • Ensure effective communication between shifts and departments regarding company performance and safety.
  • Plan, schedule, and direct equipment and facilities operations for safety and cost efficiency.
  • Work with Engineering and Maintenance to maximize output, equipment availability, and reduce waste.
  • Supervise activities of direct reports.
  • Oversee and monitor Ethical Sourcing guidelines.
  • Maintain a positive work environment, including personnel policies, training, safety, and housekeeping.
  • Stay updated on new industry technologies via trade magazines, training, and manuals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Education And Experience
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in high-volume Dairy Manufacturing required.
  • Experience with ESL/Fluid Dairy preferred.
  • Operational management in a 7x24 environment required.
  • Budgeting and planning experience necessary.
  • Experience managing project, processing, and packaging functions.
  • Knowledge of PMO and regulatory guidelines, with ability to interact with federal and state agencies.
  • Experience with filling, packaging, transportation, and customer service targets.
