Position Overview

gpac is working with an award-winning, family-owned, growing food manufacturer in Central Massachusetts, seeking a Plant Manager. The company has been in business for over 15 years, specializing in made-from-scratch baked goods crafted with high-quality ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall manufacturing results, mentor and develop the team, and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Oversee production costs, labor utilization, yield, and implement cost improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to Food Safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices, including audits.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational costs.
• Maintain positive employee relations and implement employee initiatives.
• Develop and execute capital improvement plans and budgets.
• Manage plant overhead and product cost targets.
• Meet customer service level targets through process synchronization.
• Lead HR processes and policies to manage team performance.
• Set and achieve health and safety targets.
• Support marketing and product development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with GFSI, FDA, and SQF standards.
• Maintain food safety and quality assurance policies.
