Job summary

Sharon Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Plant Manager to lead overall plant operations in Niles, OH. You will drive safety, lean manufacturing, productivity, and cost initiatives while partnering with HR, Safety, Finance, Sales, and Maintenance to ensure high-quality output.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and people development to improve yields, output, and employee engagement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a technical field preferred.
• Strong labor relations experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of ISO standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to engage all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Leads and promotes safe work practices in compliance with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
• Develops and executes operating plans for current and upcoming months, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
• Builds a performance-based culture focused on accountability, safety, metrics, and operational excellence.
• Provides clear organizational direction and communication aligned with goals across all plant departments.
• Reviews daily operating reports to resolve manufacturing, maintenance, and operational issues while minimizing costs and delays.
• Leads new manufacturing initiatives by applying lean principles and improving production systems and processes.
• Hires, coaches, develops, and evaluates employees to ensure strong leadership and teamwork.
