Job summary

Atlas Tube at Zekelman Industries in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor who will lead a maintenance team, troubleshoot and maintain plant equipment, and drive preventive programs to maximize reliability and safety. The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance with supervisory experience, strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and CMMS familiarity.

Welding/fabrication is a plus; OSHA standards apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industry.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians to support efficient daily operations.
• Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment, including mills, welders, cutting systems, and material handling equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production disruptions, coordinating emergency repairs as needed.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of required components.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support seamless operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
