Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment is seeking a Plant Manager in Lowell, MA to lead a team of entry-level production staff and oversee daily production and distribution activities. You will drive reliability, safety, and quality initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize operations while maintaining adequate inventory and promoting Lean practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial plant environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in driver, operations, distribution or quality roles.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading and developing employees.
  • Willingness to work in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for a team of entry-level production employees to meet customer demand.
  • Coordinate daily production activities and distribution requirements, including local delivery routes and shuttle scheduling.
  • Lead reliability, compliance, quality, and safety initiatives to meet governmental and environmental regulations and coordinate training with the compliance manager.
  • Monitor production performance and manpower levels to maintain efficiency and develop contingencies.
  • Identify operational challenges and lead improvements in production processes, shift scheduling, and training; report progress to plant management.
  • Manage equipment and product quality issues, maintain inventory of production supplies, and support 5S and Lean projects and hazardous waste activities to reduce costs through Operational Excellence.

Pay Range: $76,500-$112,200
