Job summary

LHH in Chicago is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead facility operations, drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This hands-on leadership role requires on-the-floor presence, team development, and a deep commitment to food safety standards.

You will oversee manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, and receiving, partner with maintenance to boost equipment reliability, and uphold SQF, HACCP, and GMP programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• 5+ years in food manufacturing leadership.
• Experience leading supervisors, warehouse teams and hourly staff.
• Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, and receiving operations.
• Drive employee safety, food safety, quality, and operational performance.
• Develop supervisors, leads, and frontline employees.
• Improve production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.
• Partner with maintenance to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

A growing food manufacturing and distribution organization is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead facility operations and drive operational excellence.

This is an opportunity for a true "roll-up-your-sleeves" leader who enjoys being on the production floor, developing teams, solving problems, and building a culture centered around safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Leading manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, and receiving operations
• Driving employee safety, food safety, quality, and operational performance
• Developing supervisors, leads, and frontline employees
• Improving production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery
• Partnering with maintenance to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime
• Supporting SQF, HACCP, GMP, traceability, and food safety initiatives
• Creating structure, processes, and accountability to support future growth

What We’re Looking For:

• 8+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
• 5+ years of food manufacturing leadership experience
• Experience leading supervisors, warehouse teams, and hourly employees
• Strong SQF, HACCP, GMP, and food safety knowledge
• Proven success developing teams and improving operations through people, process, and continuous improvement initiatives

ork Schedule: Onsite

Compensation: $120-130k base

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, paid sick leave where applicable by state law
