LHH is seeking an Operations Team Lead to oversee production operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role manages hourly employees on assigned shifts, drives safety, productivity, and quality, and partners with maintenance, contractors, and customers to meet daily goals.

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Experience leading teams in union settings preferred.
  • Strong safety mindset and operational leadership skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 onsite operation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise hourly production employees during assigned shifts.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the plant.
  • Coordinate production schedules, staffing plans, and daily plant operations.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and minimize downtime.
  • Partner cross-functionally with maintenance, contractors, and customers.
  • Investigate and communicate safety incidents and operational concerns.
  • Manage overtime, workforce planning, and shift readiness.
  • Drive operational excellence, productivity, and quality standards.

Job description

We're partnering with an established industrial manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Operations Team Lead to oversee production operations and lead hourly personnel in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced operations, prioritizes safety, and enjoys leading union and non-union teams to achieve production goals.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, industrial, steel, mining, chemical, or heavy industrial environment
  • Experience leading teams in a union setting preferred
  • Strong safety mindset and operational leadership skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot production challenges
  • Comfortable working in a 24/7 operation and supporting off-shift needs
  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred

Work Schedule: Onsite

Compensation: $85-95k base

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, paid sick leave where applicable by state law
