Job summary

Given Talent Solutions seeks an experienced Plant Manager to lead a food production facility in California. You will oversee production, maintenance, sanitation, packaging, and warehouse operations while driving safety, quality, efficiency, and compliance.

You will partner with Quality, Supply Chain, HR, and Maintenance to achieve business objectives, coach leaders, and foster a high-performing culture. A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of leadership in regulated manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience in food or beverage manufacturing within a regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, GMPs, HACCP, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience leading large manufacturing teams and managing budgets and operational metrics.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods.
  • Union manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with California labor and safety regulations is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily plant operations to meet production, quality, safety, service, and financial goals.
  • Manage production scheduling, labor planning, budgets, and operating costs.
  • Lead production, maintenance, sanitation, packaging, and warehouse teams.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and other applicable standards.
  • Partner with Quality and Food Safety on audits, corrective actions, traceability, and compliance.
  • Improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and strengthen preventive maintenance.
  • Monitor key metrics including productivity, labor, waste, yield, efficiency, overtime, and service levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean, root cause analysis, and process improvement.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop leaders and frontline employees.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, HR, Maintenance, and Quality to achieve business objectives.
  • Foster a safe, accountable, and high-performing workplace.
