Summary

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Plant Manager will be responsible for managing the workforce, productivity, cost control, continuous process improvement, health and safety, as well as employee training and development.

Essential Functions

• Ensure the efficient management of precast manufacturing operations by overseeing production planning, staffing, and day-to-day manufacturing operations in a cost-effective manner;
• Accurately track and record metrics, troubleshoot, and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays;
• Act as a leader in continuous improvement and change management;
• Analyze data from production reports to identify improvements for better efficiencies and reduced defects;
• Communicate, implement, and apply company policies and procedures;
• Motivate employees, lead by example, and be a positive influence;
• Encourage autonomous work by empowering employees;
• Develop a training plan and ensure succession planning;
• Ensure product quality standards are met through inspections and testing;
• Administer the company safety program to ensure OSHA compliance.

Note: Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred;
• 3-5 years of experience in Production or Operations management within manufacturing or construction;
• Precast Concrete experience is preferred.
