Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to uphold plant equipment and facilities in a demanding industrial setting. You will perform mechanical maintenance, welding, alignment, and preventive tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include data collection for maintenance projects, pipefitting, and operating mobile equipment while adhering to safety standards and company policies. A strong mechanical background and willingness to work in a physically demanding environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior Mechanical experience/welding experience, training or certification required.
• Prior plant maintenance mechanic experience a plus.
• Bi-lingual (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance mechanic assignments on plant equipment and facilities.
• Collect data for preventative and predictive plant maintenance projects.
• Perform millwright assignments such as bearing replacement, alignment of equipment, and inspection and repair of power transmission according to plant standards.
• Perform welding and cutting assignments such as fabrication of plant equipment and structures and repair of worn process equipment according to plant standards.
• Inspect lubrication for mechanical equipment, record data for running equipment, take lab samples as required, drain oil and change oil and filters on all equipment oil reservoirs.
• Perform pipefitter assignments to install, maintain and inspect existing and future piping structures on all types of piping systems.
• Operate mobile equipment to assist with completing maintenance assigned duties.
• Perform plumbing inspection and repair on plant equipment and facilities.
• Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
• Meet or exceed company safety standards.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
