Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to service and repair plant equipment across the assigned area, ensuring uptime and reliability of operations. The role includes data collection for preventative maintenance and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities cover mechanical tasks, welding, pipefitting, and coordination with crews. The candidate should have a high school diploma and prior mechanical/welding experience, with bilingualism a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior mechanical and welding experience, training or certification required.
• Prior plant maintenance mechanic experience is a plus.
• Bi-lingual (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance mechanic assignments on plant equipment and facilities.
• Collect data for preventative and predictive plant maintenance projects.
• Perform millwright tasks such as bearing replacement, alignment, inspection and repair of power transmission.
• Perform welding and cutting for fabrication and repair of plant equipment and structures.
• Inspect lubrication, record data, sample oil, and change oil and filters as required.
