Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated to repair and maintain plant industrial equipment and machinery.

The role includes preventative maintenance, repair of stationary and mobile equipment, conveyors, shakers, pumps, gearboxes, and related systems. Hours are 6:00 am - 4:00 pm with overtime as necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of welding and maintenance experience.
• Mining industry welding/maintenance experience preferred.
• Welding certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication, welding, cutting, greasing, housekeeping and various shop or processing duties.
• Maximize equipment performance by completing repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair simple to intermediate issues with limited supervision.
• Use electrical and pressure testing equipment per safety standards.
• Complete paperwork to maintain equipment and run the plant per standards.
• Erect processing equipment and repair processing/mobile equipment.
• Conduct MSHA pre-shift inspections of equipment and work area.
• Operate loaders/haul trucks safely as needed.
• Assist in training co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
