Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a Maintenance Tech I for membrane-related equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will maintain mechanical, electrical, and boiler systems and support capital projects across the facility.

Expect a 40-hour week with shift lengths of 8–10 hours, occasional overtime, and weekend hours; no travel is required. You will reassemble, start, inspect, lubricate, and repair machines, coordinating with supervisors as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED; 1–2 years maintenance experience.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding and boiler maintenance.
• Rotating equipment knowledge including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reassemble machines after maintenance or repair.
• Start machines and observe operation for efficiency and issues.
• Inspect damaged parts and report repairs to supervisors.
• Lubricate parts and apply materials per procedures.
• Read work orders to identify parts and equipment needing maintenance.

Job Description

Job Summary Maintain and repair mechanical/electrical/boiler systems within a manufacturing environment; execute capital projects (installation, dismantling of equipment) and other various maintenance tasks throughout the facility. Expected hours of work 40 hours a week with a varied shift schedule 8-10 hours shifts with occasional overtime and weekend hours. No travel required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
• Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
• Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair.
• Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures.
• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
• Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
• Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
• Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
• Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
• Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas.
• Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures
• Knowledge of various hand and power tools
• Prior experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.
• Ability to use hand& portable tools, gas and arc welder, forklift, pickup truck, testing equipment, tape measure, computer (shop floor and ERP).

Education and Experience:

• Required: o Education – High School diploma or GED required. o One to two (1-2) years related maintenance experience. o Previous experience in the following maintenance areas preferred: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler. o Mechanical background with rotating equipment. Hydraulic and pneumatic. Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
