Job summary

Carlisle Companies is seeking a Maintenance Lead-CAM to oversee repairs across plant machinery, run preventive maintenance, and manage work orders. The role requires hands-on expertise and leadership of a small technician team, with varied shifts and occasional overtime.

Expect 40 hours weekly, with no travel. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and safety systems, plus experience with cranes or rigging, will be essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Education – High School diploma or GED required.
• Five (5) years minimum maintenance experience as a hands-on craftsman in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Rigging training and certification (as needed).
• Ability to lead a maintenance team.
• Experience with forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for performing repairs on all machinery and equipment throughout the plant and is also accountable for minor administrative functions including assigning work orders and work order time recording. Expected hours of work 40 hours a week with a varied shift schedule 8-10 hours shifts with occasional overtime and weekend hours. No travel required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair equipment- evaluate equipment operation and perform necessary action when malfunction occurs, or improvements are needed.

Performs preventive maintenance activities as dictated by work schedule.

Administration-distribute work orders, process/ summarize work order data, initiate purchase requisitions, utilize equipment and process documentation.

Keep MDI Board current and up to date.

Comply and participate in regulatory, Carlisle, And departmental policies, procedures, and standards (PSM, safety protocols, COS)

Provide training to Maintenance technicians I & II & III as needed.

Articulate to vendors/engineer’s machine issue to resolve technical issues.

Handle and audit preventative maintenance procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to train and lead a team of 2 or more Maintenance Technicians.

Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures.

Knowledge of various hand and power tools.

Knowledge of micrometers, digital multimeters, and calipers.

Prior experience operating a forklift.

Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.

Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills.

Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.

Working knowledge of electrical codes including NEMA, etc. (NFPA 70E, Arc Flash)

Industrial electrical AC/DC troubleshooting skills, including ability to utilize electrical instrumentation (megohmmeter).

Provide technical training and leadership to Maintenance technicians I, II and III as needed.

Complete knowledge of all plant equipment (level III).

Ability to use hand& portable tools, gas and arc welder, forklift, pickup truck, testing equipment, tape measure, computer (shop floor and ERP).

Education and Experience:

Required:

Education – High School diploma or GED required.

Five (5) years minimum maintenance experience as a hands-on craftsman in an industrial/manufacturing environment associated with engineering or maintenance activity.

Understanding of basic mechanical & electrical principles as they apply to plant/process specific equipment (hydraulic and pneumatic systems also) along with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 certification.

Obtain rigging training and certification (as needed)

Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.

Prior leadership experience leading a maintenance team.

Some knowledge and experience in using a forklift and scissor lift.

Experience with computers including Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Obtain welding certification (as needed).

Complete NFPA 70E training within 180 days of assignment.

Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills

Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.

Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels.

Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor.

Flame Resistant rated Maintenance uniform provided.
