Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives, including conveyors, shakers, pumps, and gearboxes.

The role involves fabrication, welding, grinding, greasing, and general shop duties, with a strong emphasis on safety and production uptime.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment analysis and general repair concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• MSHA compliance and safety regulations knowledge.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Good time management and accuracy in records.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled maintenance on crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, motors, and other plant equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns.
• Maximizes performance of stationary equipment by repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Communicates status and repair needs with supervisors and operations teams.
• Assists with fabrication tasks and repairs for plant components and structures.
• Maintains accurate maintenance records and paperwork per Martin Marietta standards.
