Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives for conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and related systems.

Shift hours begin at 3:30pm, with long shifts up to 6 days a week. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and production, with opportunities to train others and maintain detailed equipment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience in heavy-duty maintenance, preferably in aggregates industry.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems; MSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, motors, and other plant equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns.
• Maximize performance of stationary equipment through timely preventive maintenance.
• Prioritize backlog with Supervisor/Plant Manager and respond promptly to failures.
• Assist with cutting, welding, and fabrication tasks for plant components and structural repairs.
• Operate cranes, man-lifts, welding and cutting tools as needed.
• Train and coach other employees on maintenance practices.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts usage.
