Job summary

WM (Waste Management) in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Leader to plan and direct maintenance activities ensuring safe and efficient operation of recycling equipment and facilities.

You will manage a team, including contractors, develop safe operating procedures, and coordinate with operations to minimize downtime while optimizing costs and reliability. Strong electrical systems knowledge and budget oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; or equivalent experience with four years in lieu of degree.
• 7+ years in engineering or maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Industrial electrical systems knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and control maintenance for safe, efficient operation of multiple recycling equipment and facilities.
• Lead maintenance team and contractors to reduce down time.
• Oversee preventative maintenance program and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks between operations, maintenance and venders to minimize downtime.
• Generate work requests from maintenance inspections and safety findings.
• Manage department budget, labor costs, and monthly financial reports.
