Job summary

Colonial Group in Dayton, OH is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee equipment and facility maintenance ensuring safe, efficient operations. You will supervise preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and manage energy usage while collaborating with Market Center Management.

The role requires 2 years of maintenance management experience, a technical degree or certificate, and familiarity with maintenance management systems.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree or certificate in related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 2 years' experience managing a maintenance staff.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and large machinery; industrial experience preferred.
• Experience with maintenance management systems (Manager Plus preferred).
• Ability to read maintenance literature.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment; able to work with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Safety: create and support a culture of adherence to corporate standardization in support of production, financial and safety goals.
• Maintenance management: perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and visually audit plant performance.
• Set and establish maintenance schedule to ensure timely equipment operation without production disruption.
• Follow manufacturers' guidelines for preventive maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
• Proactively intervene when issues are found; seek efficient resolutions.
• Communicate with market center management on resolution activities and timing.
• Perform needed repairs to restore equipment or facility to operating conditions.
• Coordinate installation/removal of new equipment when needed.
• Ensure contracted work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Oversee water/energy use and identify cost-saving measures.
• Work with management to improve safety and operating efficiency within cost constraints.
