Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily electrical and mechanical upkeep in a fast-paced setting. You will lead a maintenance team, schedule preventive work, manage parts inventory, and coordinate with engineering on capital projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of industry experience, supervisory skills, and a valid driver's license. Flexibility for after-hours coverage and a commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years’ industry experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Previous supervisory experience in coaching, training, teambuilding, performance development, and conflict resolution.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Establish and assign daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules and coordinate downtime with Production Manager or Superintendent.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies with cost control within budget.
• Schedule work, coordinate production activities, supervise employees, approve time records, and communicate company policy.
• Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance programs are accomplished and repairs completed timely.
• Establish and maintain maintenance budget and recommend capital improvements with Engineering.
• Ensure maintenance crew can troubleshoot corrugator equipment and perform electrical/mechanical repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, injury-free work environment and enforce health and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with Engineering on capital projects and supervise Electrical Department staff.
• Cover Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer responsibilities as needed.
• Weekend/after-hours call coverage on a rotating basis.
