Job summary

Vestis in Dayton, Ohio is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to ensure safe, efficient operation of all site equipment and facilities. You will lead preventive maintenance, set schedules, and coordinate repairs to prevent production disruption while collaborating with Market Center Management on progress and budget adherence.

The role requires a 2-year technical college degree or equivalent experience, strong leadership, budgeting know-how, and familiarity with maintenance systems

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree or certificate in related discipline or equivalent business/work experience.
• Experience managing a maintenance staff (2+ years).
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and major machinery maintenance.
• Experience with safety initiatives, planning, preventive maintenance, budgeting, and vendor management.
• Ability to read maintenance literature.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems; Manager Plus preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and sustain a culture of safety and standardization.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and audits.
• Set maintenance schedules to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Follow manufacturers' guidelines for maintenance.
• Proactively address issues with equipment or facility.
• Coordinate repairs and consult specialists as needed.
• Communicate with Market Center management on status.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and facility.
• Oversee installation/removal of equipment as required.
• Manage water and energy use and reduce costs.
• Work with Engineering to improve safety and efficiency.
• Oversee maintenance team staffing and development.
