Job summary

Proliant Dairy Ingredients is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Coordinator to support reliable plant operations. This role involves coordinating maintenance work orders, managing parts inventory, and planning routine checkups to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude, and teamwork skills, with 2–4 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing. Safety and continuous improvement are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required (Associate trade degree a plus).
• Strong troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Preferred manufacturing maintenance experience 2–4 years.
• Knowledge organizing tasks, schedules, and projects.
• Experience using computer programs to log work and parts, and track inventory.
• Basic understanding of tools, building systems, and/or machinery.
• Motors, pumps, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, and valves.
• Electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Create, assign, and track repair work orders and preventative maintenance from start to finish using logs or digital tracking system accurately.
• Order replacement parts, tools, and supplies while tracking and maintaining inventory tracking system.
• Plan routine checkups, fix urgent problems and minimize production downtime.
• Support the Plant Manager and Maintenance Supervisor with scheduling and overseeing outside contractor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and production systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment and utilities.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, drives, pumps, valves, and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Support automation and control systems troubleshooting.
• Assist with facility maintenance and equipment improvements.
• Supervise and coordinate employee training, as needed.
• Follow all food safety, quality, and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as back-up to the Maintenance Supervisor, as needed.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
