Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a maintenance supervisor to lead a team of maintenance staff in a production environment. You will prioritize daily work, ensure safety compliance, and drive preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.

You will use SAP for planning, scheduling, and tracking tasks, and coordinate with inventory for spare parts while maintaining thorough records in the CMMS. Strong leadership and communication are essential to mentor staff and ensure reliable equipment

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
• 2 to 5 years of maintenance or related experience with demonstrated leadership aptitude or supervisory experience.
• Experience leading and following safety policies and procedures.
• Certification and/or License - electrical, welding, boiler, refrigeration, or plumbing licenses or certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign daily jobs and work orders; provide clear direction to maintenance staff.
• Oversee pass-down issues and monitor activity for safe, efficient operations.
• Implement preventative/predictive maintenance to extend asset lifespan and reduce downtime.
• Use SAP to plan tasks, estimate time and parts, and manage downtime during washes and shutdowns.
• Ensure staff understand work practices and procedures; train and mentor as needed.
• Assist in capital projects and maintain records in CMMS.
