Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the plant to oversee maintenance staff, plan preventive and corrective actions, and ensure reliable equipment operation.

You will coordinate electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, while prioritizing safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires hands-on welding (Stick/Tig) or PLC troubleshooting, strong leadership, and the ability to communicate plans clearly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of Supervisory experience in maintenance/industrial setting; leads a team.
• 3-5 years of Stick and Tig welding fabrication, or 2 years PLC troubleshooting/programming.
• At least 1 year experience with computer maintenance programs (MS Word and MS Excel).

Responsibilities

• Supervises and assigns maintenance staff work and inspects for completeness.
• Develops and communicates short- and long-term maintenance plans.
• Coordinates/inspects and maintains electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems.
• Ensures equipment/plant availability through scheduling of maintenance and repairs.
• Adheres to safety and environmental regulations and programs.
• Improves safety and labor efficiency with proper tools and training.
• Reports and keeps maintenance records up to date.
