Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Illinois to oversee the maintenance of production equipment, buildings and utilities, including ammonia compressors and wastewater systems. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and data-driven maintenance management.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in industrial maintenance, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong skills in electrical, refrigeration, hydraulics, mechanical, and plant optimization.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6+ years maintenance experience.
• Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some public speaking skills.
• Special Skills: Industrial Maintenance in fields such as electrical refrigeration hydraulics or mechanical.
• Supervisory: Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar or interrelated tasks.
• Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
• Background Checks: Certain roles may require background checks; details provided if offered position.
• Physical requirements: willing to perform physical tasks with/without accommodation.

• Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
• Ensure maintenance personnel are trained on updated equipment and skills.
• Provide a safe workplace and comply with safety programs.
• Monitor operation of plant equipment to minimize downtime and solve problems.
• Maintain SAP CMMS for tracking work orders and inventory.
• Make recommendations to improve plant operations and maintenance problems.
• Train and motivate maintenance staff and ensure safe, timely, efficient execution of programs.
• Adhere to safety, OSHA, PSM and environmental policies.
