Job summary

Vestis Corporation in Tampa, FL is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead the upkeep of plant equipment and facilities. You will schedule preventive maintenance, monitor systems, and coordinate repairs to keep production running safely and cost-effectively.

You will work with the Engineering and Market Center teams to address issues, implement improvements, and manage maintenance staff and external vendors, ensuring adherence to safety standards and corporate guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree or certificate or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience managing maintenance staff.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and large machinery maintenance.
• Experience with maintenance management systems, Manager Plus preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safety - uphold culture of standardization in production, safety and costs.
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and audits plant performance.
• Set maintenance schedule to ensure timely operation without production disruption.
• Lead repairs safely and efficiently to restore equipment or facilities.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Market Center management to resolve maintenance issues.
• Oversight of maintenance staff hiring, placement, and development where applicable.
