Job summary

Vestis is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the ongoing upkeep of plant equipment and facilities in a fast-paced production environment. You will drive preventive maintenance, safety programs, and energy use optimization while coordinating with the Market Center Management team to ensure timely, cost-effective operations.

Ideal candidates will bring a minimum of two years managing a maintenance staff, strong knowledge of electrical/plumbing systems, and experience with maintenance

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree or certificate or equivalent experience.
• 2 years' experience managing a maintenance staff.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and large machinery maintenance.
• Experience with safety initiatives, planning, budgeting, and vendor management.
• Ability to read maintenance literature.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems; Manager Plus preferred.
• Detail-oriented; able to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment and facility to safe, efficient standards.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and monitor plant performance.
• Set maintenance schedules to ensure production continuity.
• Coordinate repairs and involve specialized expertise as needed.
• Communicate with market center management on resolutions and timing.
• Oversee water and energy use to control costs.
• Audit and ensure safe operation; ensure contracted work is safe.
• Assist with installation/removal of new equipment.
• Lead maintenance staff and hire/select personnel.
