Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations in Galt, CA. You will drive equipment reliability, manage PM programs, and support a fast-paced production environment while upholding OSHA safety and PSM compliance.

This position requires leadership of technicians and coordination with operations and quality teams. The role focuses on reducing downtime, improving PM execution, and mentoring staff, with exposure to ammonia refrigeration

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of PSM (Process Safety Management) programs and compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls.
• Plan preventive maintenance, manage work orders, and drive improvement.
• Communicate effectively with plant leadership and maintenance staff.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians across daily plant operations.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs, work orders, and reliability initiatives.
• Coordinate labor scheduling, technician assignments, and payroll approvals.
• Support production by minimizing downtime and responding to failures with urgency.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls issues.
• Improve PM effectiveness, spare parts organization, and maintenance docs.
• Work with operations and quality teams to improve plant performance.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage outside vendors, contractors, and OEM relationships.
• Participate in capital projects and facility upgrades.
• Ensure OSHA safety and regulatory compliance; support PSM programs.
• Oversee ammonia refrigeration maintenance activities and coordination.
• Develop and mentor maintenance personnel; build department accountability.
