Job summary

CertainTeed, headquartered in Malvern, PA, seeks a maintenance supervisor for our Georgia plant to lead daily maintenance activities, supervise hourly staff, and uphold safety, quality, and cost goals. You will coach teams, manage training, and ensure compliance with EH&S policies while coordinating internal and external resources.

You will drive 5S housekeeping, performance metrics, and timely maintenance planning, with an emphasis on safe operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree preferred (equivalent experience may be considered).
• Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in use of MS Office (familiarity with UKG and SAP a plus).
• General understanding of ISO methodology (EX: ISO 9001).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S & Six Sigma a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the hourly maintenance employees in the improvement and maintenance of plant equipment, buildings, machinery, utilities, etc.
• Communicate expectations, measure and assess employee performance, and provide coaching and development of employees.
• Actively promote a safe working environment focused on full compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and regulations.
• Ensure that personnel are adequately trained to perform their duties safely.
• Responsible for safety management including completion of periodic safety audits/inspections, safety meetings, thorough investigation of incidents, and evaluation of training needs.
• Troubleshooting, planning & scheduling, technical support to the maintenance team, procurement of parts, coordination and supervision of outside contractors.
• Leads the shift safety meetings and training sessions that have been developed by the training coordinator.
• Review and approve employee timekeeping (UKG).
