Job summary

CertainTeed Roofing in Peachtree City, GA seeks an Operations Manager to oversee production and maintenance, drive efficiency, safety, and cost reduction. You will develop budgets, promote Lean methods, and collaborate with the Plant Manager on strategic expenditures.

The role requires 6–8 years of manufacturing leadership, strong TPM and SPC knowledge, and a track record in improving labor productivity and on-time shipments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Six to eight (6 - 8) years manufacturing experience in a management capacity including first line supervision.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, TPM, quality and Lean principles (SPC, 5S, standardized work).
• Proficiency in Six Sigma, TPM and Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Achieve organizational goals through efficient and strategic use of resources.
• Direct production, maintenance, and facilities to meet plant objectives and budgets.
• Maintain safety, quality and production standards; ensure effective communication across all levels.
• Plan and coordinate production and maintenance activities via Manufacturing Managers and Supervisors.
• Support implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and cost-reduction initiatives.
