Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead to perform emergency and preventative repairs on plant machinery and infrastructure. You will coordinate with the production supervisor during emergencies and lead a maintenance team to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, PLC experience, and the ability to work up to 12-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment. A safety-focused mindset and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade certification or minimum five years as Industrial Mechanic/Electrician.
• PLC and basic drives experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and preventative repairs on plant machinery safely.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Coordinate with Production Supervisor during emergencies.
• Maintain clean maintenance areas and inventory.
• Use Work Order system to log and close repairs.
