Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead to safely perform emergency and preventive repairs on plant machinery and infrastructure. You will respond to production needs during unplanned outages and coordinate resources to minimize downtime, while ensuring a safe work environment.

The role requires strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, PLC experience, and the ability to communicate clearly with production and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• Technology Diploma or Trade Certification or 5+ years as Industrial Mechanic/Electrician.
• PLC and basic drives experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Proficient communication skills for explaining complex electrical issues.
• Physically able to perform demanding tasks for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and preventative repairs on plant machinery and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Respond to production supervisor during emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Maintain clean and safe maintenance work areas.
• Utilize Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Manage maintenance inventory and input work orders in the system.
