Job summary

Dilmar Oil Company is a family-owned distributor of lubricants and petroleum products with a long-standing presence in the Southeast. The Operations/Plant Manager will oversee daily plant operations, staff training, and performance targets, while coordinating with CDL drivers, dispatching, and route planning.

The role requires knowledge of DOT regulations and will align plant activities with company goals. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus budgeting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, manufacturing, engineering or similar field preferred but not required.
• Budgeting, strategic planning, warehouse or resource allocation and planning experience.
• General knowledge of DOT Regulations.
• Experience in managing CDL Drivers.
• Experience in dispatching and route planning.
• Lean manufacturing or continual improvement process experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, delivery, efficiency, quality requirements, customer satisfaction, and plant profitability targets are realized.
• Make sure daily functions performed by location personnel coincide with company vision and objectives.
• Promote a team environment that promotes open communication, the sharing of ideas and balanced workloads.
• Promote cross training of personnel performing critical functions where possible.
• Manage inventory functions including purchase orders, transfers, repackaging, reconciliation, optimum stocking levels, and month-end inventory closing.
