Job summary

CANPACK Group is seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader for our USA plant to drive Lean and World Class Manufacturing initiatives. You will train plant teams on Lean and Six Sigma tools, lead 5S and autonomous maintenance efforts, and partner with HQ to deploy best practices across operations.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and data-driven problem solving, with travel 5–10% and a day shift. Bachelor’s degree and manufacturing CI experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• ISO, Lean/Continuous Improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Lean/Continuous Improvement concepts, principles and practices is required.
• Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement related initiatives.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, facilitator and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products to include: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with employees at all levels of the organization to understand opportunities for improvement; maintain forum for employee dialogue and related suggestions
• Provide training and mentoring related to continuous improvement methodologies as well as WCM and Lean Manufacturing training for employees
• Participate in production meetings; maintain control of production data reliability
• Generate, plan and execute initiatives of new continuous improvement projects
• Monitor production KPI’s and analyze periodic data and reports; development of SCADA and MES system in cooperation with HQ team
• Responsible for implementing and overseeing 5S standards including training for new employees, performing 5S and infrastructure audits, Gemba walks, coaching and support during 5S actions as well as 5S budgeting
• Manages related autonomous maintenance activities including maintenance card review, SOP implementation and maintenance, updating and implementing training materials and ensuring periodic action module/CMMS review
• Responsible for SMED related activities, including changeover time measurement and procedures preparation, workshops and training and constant optimization projects
• Perform regular assessment of continuous improvement practices progress in the plant
• Maintains regular communication with HQ continuous improvement team and participates in meetings and manages information flow between the plant and continuous improvement leaders
• Enhance synergy, communication and collaboration between Operations and QC with a focus on improving the Operations’ KPI’s
• Evaluate audit reports and analyzes data to identify areas for improvement, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented
• Audit and support the Quality department to ensure implementation of the best practices and global improvements for continuous improvement of product quality, while minimizing NCR and other product losses
• Performs other tasks reasonably commensurate with the role, as directed
