Job summary

Woodweb in Arkansas is seeking a Plant Manager to lead all plant operations, drive safety, quality, and cost efficiency, and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the CEO to maximize performance and profitability while mentoring a production team.

The role requires hands-on leadership, significant experience in wood products manufacturing, and a track record of implementing Lean initiatives and compliant safety programs. Relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in operations/supply chain or related field preferred.
• Six Sigma/Lean certification preferred.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in wood products manufacturing.
• Experience motivating and delivering strong employee relations with non-exempt employees.
• Experience managing safety performance and programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the work of all production employees and oversee production and shipping schedules based on raw and finished goods availability.
• Provide hands-on leadership as a working manager, mentoring and coaching all staff and handling employee relations issues.
• Support plant administration to ensure compliance with policies.
• Assist with the full hiring process and onboarding team decisions within the plant.
• Consult with the CEO on cost and yield performance of the plant.
• Support cost control initiatives and process control within the plant.
• Review operations and local transportation to comply with OSHA, EPA, and related laws.
• Drive safety improvements across the plant.
• Ensure consistent execution of SOPs throughout the plant.
• Deliver best operational practices and cost efficiencies while maintaining quality and material utilization.
• Implement Lean initiatives to eliminate waste.
• Provide leadership to recruit, train, develop, and motivate plant staff.
