Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Plant Manager for the ProWood facility in Harrisonville, Missouri. You will provide strategic and hands-on leadership for plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, service, and profitability.

You will manage production, maintenance, inventory, shipping, and staffing while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The role requires leading through managers and supervisors, using data to drive decisions, and aligning with regional leadership on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in production/operations leadership.
• Experience leading supervisors, managers, or multiple departments.
• Knowledge of manufacturing financials (budgets, Opex, cost control, P&L).
• Ability to analyze production and financial data and translate findings into actions.
• Forklift operator certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible safety leadership and establish safety as a priority.
• Lead plant management and supervisory teams; set performance expectations.
• Oversee production, maintenance, inventory, shipping, and yard operations to meet goals.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement; reduce waste and improve flow.
• Collaborate with HR, Safety, Finance, Purchasing, Sales, and regional leadership.
• Prepare reports on operational, financial, safety, and production metrics.
