Job summary

Air Products in Texas City seeks an Instrument and Electrical Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and electrical equipment up to 13.8KV. You will work with a skilled team, support plant reliability, and participate in safety programs while upholding a strong safety culture.

The role requires five years of industrial experience, solid knowledge of PLC/DCS, SAP/CMMS experience, and ability to lead and mentor crew as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years of industrial instrumentation and electrical experience required.
• Trade/technical degree preferred but not required.
• Military training considered in lieu of experience.
• Safety-focused with strong communication and digital literacy.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to work in a team and be on-call.
• Overtime willingness.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in department/plant safety programs and promote safety rules and environmental compliance.
• Engage in a team environment; mentor and coach team members.
• Provide hands-on support to resolve Instrument/Electrical/Analytical field problems as they occur.
• Perform and supervise inspection, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and modification of process controls, valves, safety devices, analyzers, PLCs, instrumentation, and DCS.
• Commissioning of new plants and ongoing troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of instrumentation and electrical controls.
• Familiar with transmitters, probes, analyzers, controllers, and motor control equipment; maintain documentation in SAP.
