Job summary

Air Products in Santa Clara, CA seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician for the Santa Clara plant and distribution terminal. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical equipment in a heavy industrial setting.

Candidates should have at least five years of industrial maintenance experience, the ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs and loop drawings.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on analyzers, transmitters, control valves, and instruments.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, motor starters, motors, transformers, and switchgear.
• Support safety system testing and validation activities.
• Maintain gas analyzers and process instrumentation.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and contractors to safely execute maintenance.
