Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the Plant HR team, align policies with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and partner with plant leadership on culture change.

The role requires 6+ years in HR management within manufacturing or automotive settings, excellent communication, and the ability to influence decisions with a data-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 6+ years of human resource management experience in a similarly sized company.
• Manufacturing or automotive background experience preferred.
• PHR/SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team of salaried HR employees and oversees hourly hiring and onboarding.
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and aligns with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Leads recruitment for hourly roles, conducts interviews, extends offers, and coordinates drug testing and background checks.
• Manages payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now and resolves timecard discrepancies.
• Maintains department records and reports, including personnel files and investigations.
• Participates in unemployment hearings when necessary.
